(CityVibez Exclusive) CityVibez Exclusive Interview With Rapper Dreylo

During the interview recently conducted by CityVibez Media, the fast raising singer, Dreylo, made it known to us that he will be releasing his first studio album soon but no official date yet.

Fast raising talented singer and rap artist Nonyelum David Ebuka, populaly known as Dreylo by his fans is a native of Anambra state, the artist is currently studying statistics at University of Lagos. According to the artist, he started music since he was 12 years old, and officially got into the music industry since he won the monster verse competition last year.


How and when did you start doing music?

I started doing music ever since I won the monster verse competition last year. But I’ve always been interested in music since the age of 12


Which big artiste will you say is your idol. and has he always inspired your music?

My idiol is Davido. He’s always been an inspiration because I love his hustle spirit. Makes me wanna be better.


How do you get inspiration to create music?

I get my inspiration from life basically. I love making music that speak to people. So I sing/rap about daily happenings or people’s fantasies.


How would you describe your Pattern of music?

I would describe it as Hip-Hop / Afro-Fusion


How do you plan to sustain your popularity because some artistes fade away after few hit tracks?

I don’t plan to sustain my popularity. I’m just here to be the best I can be and make sure I stick in some people’s heads forever.


Has there been one particular moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

Not necessarily because I just started. But I’ve been proud of myself ever since I dropped my debut single featuring Dremo


Is your song, ‘Rappers’, from a personal experience?

No it’s not from a personal experience, it’s basically about what I’ve noticed in the nigerian hip hop industry


How do you balance your music with other obligations - mate, and school?

It hasn’t been easy but I work with a splendid team and they made it less stressful for me.


So are you currently signed into an record label?


Yes I’m currently signed to Blvck Melon


What differentiates you from other talented and young artistes?

Everyone is special in their own way but I believe my willingness to be versatile differentiates me


What’s next for you?


I’m planning on dropping another single or an EP. Whichever comes first, I guarantee it’ll be good
